Nepal
These carpets are produced on the 'rooftop of the world', high in the remote mountain regions of Tibet. The motifs of New Nepalese and Tibetan carpets derive from those of Taoism and Buddhism, however they are very modern and trendy. The wool used for Tibetans Nepal carpets is the best imaginable for carpet weaving, being highly resilient, tough and flexible. The whole process is completed by hand, from the washing of the wool in icy clear mountain streams, to the final clipping of the carpet, giving the wool its unique texture and appearance.
